The 60 Doctrines stemmed out of a six-week class that I taught at Willow Creek Community Church. The class included leaders from the college-aged ministry. If you want to hear the details, read My Story.
The 60 Doctrines will help you know and understand God at a deeper, more fundamental level. And when you read the Bible, you will understand it, because you understand God's Doctrine.
I have broken the material into sixty simple Doctrines. The Doctrines consist of foundational Doctrine and progress towards complex Doctrine. Think about it this way: the simple Doctrines are like basic chords or primary colors. The more we learn, the more these chords and colors are going to build into something amazing!
Throughout the 60 Doctrines, the words that allude to God are capitalized.
The 60 Doctrines are divided into six sections:

Foundation
How words, thinking, knowledge, understanding and wisdom actually work. The groundwork everything else is built on.

God Applications
That groundwork applied to God Himself: mystery, causality, contradiction, predestination and power.

Truth
Belief and faith, holiness and justice, mercy, good and evil, and how deception works against all of them.

Salvation
Law and principle, righteousness and free will, sin, confession, repentance, grace, and what salvation means.

Love
Uniqueness, profitability and reward, the difference between morals and ethics, forgiveness, love and hate.

God's Will
Fellowship, life, the gospel, prayer, the church, eternity, marriage, and the meaning of it all.
