1Jehovah reigneth; he is clothed with majesty; Jehovah is clothed with strength; he hath girded himself therewith: The world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

Commentary · verse 1
2Thy throne is established of old: Thou art from everlasting.
2Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
Commentary · verse 2
God had always been. He was the First Cause.
3The floods have lifted up, O Jehovah, The floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves.
4Above the voices of many waters, The mighty breakers of the sea, Jehovah on high is mighty.
5Thy testimonies are very sure: Holiness becometh thy house, O Jehovah, for evermore.
3The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.
Commentary · verses 3-5
God's testimonies (made of words) which were witnesses to Him were "very sure," which meant they were confirmed and faithful. But "very" sure meant that God's testimonies were "exceedingly" sure.
Effects of Jehovah being God: He was clothed with majesty and strength. Also, His creations couldn't be "moved" (shaken, slipped). God's creations were always truth.
