Commentary · verse 48
The "Numbers" section of the Book of Psalms began with two psalms from Moses. The rest of the psalms, except for David's only psalm in this section, encouraged us to praise God during our time of testing. This section was compiled by David. The final section of the Book of Psalms was known as the "Deuteronomy" section and was believed to have been compiled by Ezra. These forty-four psalms declared the glory of God's Kingdom, His Divine government.
This day's reading covered the completion of the "Numbers" section of the Book of Psalms which encouraged us to praise God during our time of testing.
David stated he would sing to God of His lovingkindness/mercy and Justice. He would behave wisely (making profitable decisions) and with a perfect (maximum profitability) heart.
